Responsible business

We do our best to produce with as much care and attention as possible for people, the environment and society, thus working towards a fair and sustainable future.

Fabrics that make you feel good

We use various certifications for our textile products and fabric collection. These certifications guarantee that our items are free of harmful substances that pose a risk to health and that you can enjoy our products without worries.

Organic cotton

One of the certifications for organic cotton is the international GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certificate. Since 2021, a large part of our fabrics are made from organic cotton with the GOTS label. You can read what this label guarantees, among other things, in our blog: GOTS certification of color masters for cotton fabrics and products!

Sustainable outdoor fabrics

Our outdoor fabrics, Sunbrella fabrics, are rooted in sustainability in the production of the fibers, yarns and fabrics. Our extra attention to quality ensures that we create products and offer a fabric collection that last longer and need to be replaced less often, ultimately creating less waste. Our outdoor fabrics retain their color and strength, making them superior to traditional fabrics.

Wooden garden furniture with FSC or PEFC quality mark

When putting together our wooden garden furniture collection, we choose suppliers who produce quality products with respect for the environment and conditions.

We choose producers whose wood has an FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) or PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement Forest Certification) quality mark. These labels guarantee that the wood comes from a sustainably managed forest. In these forests, selective felling takes place and for every tree cut down, a new one is planted. This means the process is not harmful to the environment. Read more about this in our blog: FSC or PEFC quality mark for wooden garden furniture from Kleurmeester

Sustainable packaging

In addition to the fact that our products and fabric collections are becoming increasingly sustainable, we also pay attention to making our packaging more sustainable. Our items are packaged in sustainable packaging made of FSC®-certified cardboard. We also sometimes send our items in previously used cardboard boxes. These are then provided with the sticker: We are going green and will use this packaging again!

We are continuously working to make our organization - and in particular our development and production process - more sustainable and to take our social responsibility across all links in the chain. However, we are not there yet. Sustainability must become a core concept in our entire production chain. That is a long process, but we are moving in the right direction. Towards a sustainable future!
