Velvet fabric
Velvet, velvet in English, is a refined fabric made from materials such as cotton, polyester, or other special weaving techniques. The characteristic feature of velvet is the weave with short, upright loops, which can be optionally cut. These raised loops, also known as 'hairs', provide the unmistakable, silky soft feeling of velvet. When you stroke the shiny velvet, you notice that the hairs change direction, resulting in a powerful color dynamic.
The French variant Velvet is a cut variant of velvet, which means that the loops are cut, roughened or pulled, resulting in an even softer texture. It is slightly heavier and less flexible than velvet, which is why it is often used for applications such as curtains and furniture upholstery. The velvet fabric we use is velour.

The material is therefore water-repellent, 100% Solution Dyed Acrylic, UV-resistant and easy to keep clean. The fabric has been specially developed to be used indoors or outdoors all year round, in the living room, bedroom, in the garden, on the terrace or on the deck of a boat.
