Is it possible to request a fabric sample?
It can be difficult to know whether colours or textures of a fabric will work in your home, and we know what an important decision that is! Therefore we offer a standard sample service. We will send you a fabric swatch for either €1.50 or €3.00 – dependent on which fabric you choose. That way you can be sure that the colour, texture and design will work with your existing furnishing and colour scheme.

Simply order and pay via our website and email us at info@kleurmeester.nl with the name of the fabric sample you wish to receive.

How do I enter the required quantities when placing an order?
Quantities should be given in meters, using a decimal point. for centimeters. Eg, one and a half meters should be noted as such: 1.50

Can I see the fabric in the show room?
Of course! It is always a good idea to see the fabrics up close and personal. Call us or email to make an appointment. Our address is: Hendrik Figeeweg 3F, BAK D1, 2031BJ Haarlem.

Will the fabric shrink?
Our fabric is made from natural and ecologically dyed fibers. They are taken direct from the loom, and there may be slight shrinkage of 10% average in fabric length, and 4% in fabric width after the first wash. We take this into account when making our products and made to measure products. Please ensure you keep this in mind when buying fabric.

Our outdoor fabrics are acrylic, and therefore do not shrink.

Will my product look the same as it does in the photos?
We have taken extreme care when photographing our products, and have used professional equipment and specialist lighting to ensure our products look as close to reality as possible. However differences in computer screen quality may result in colours looking slightly different in reality. To be sure that the fabric is what you expect, we recommend ordering a fabric sample before committing to a large quantity.

Ready-made products are made from fabrics from the kleurmeester range. This fabric has stripes that run over the complete width of the fabric, meaning that stripes on a product may differ to those in the photos as only a portion of the fabric has been used to make the product. If you want a product to be exactly as seen in a photo, this may result in additional cost. Mail info@kleurmeester.nl to find out the options.

How do I order made to measure items?
If you are interested in made to measure products, simply send an email to info@kleurmeester.nl with a clear description of what you want including measurements as well as your contact details. Once we have reviewed your order you will receive a quotation. If you are OK with this, a 50% deposit is required and kleurmeester will get sewing! Made to measure products and any cut meters of fabric cannot be returned.

Any fabric that isn’t in stock and needs to be specially ordered for you also requires a 50% deposit.

How soon can I expect to receive my order?
If the product or fabric is in stock, delivery is generally within a week of the order being place. If products or fabrics are not in stock, you will receive an email with estimated deliver times.

Estimated delivery times on made to measure products will be communicated during the order process.

Delivery times for fabrics that need to be imported can take between 2-4 weeks, in peak seasons – spring and summer, this may take up to 8 weeks.

Why is a coated tablecloth more expensive than a regular tablecloth?
Our coated tablecloths go through an additional treatment in which an acrylic layer has been applied. This layer makes the fabric water and fleck resistant, while still maintaining it’s rich colours. This treatment results a higher quality tablecloth that is more durable and longer lasting than a regular tablecloth. It is less prone to tears and is still machine washable.

I have received a kleurmeester gift certificate, how can I redeem this?
The gift certificate has a code – this should be entered into the discount code section of your online shopping cart. If the code isn’t recognized, send us an email including the gift certificate number as well as details of your order. We will get in touch with you as soon as possible.

Can I order fabrics that aren’t on your website?
Yes! Let us know what you want and we can get in touch with our suppliers to see whether they have that fabric in stock. We will let you know the costs and estimated delivery times.

Can I reupholster my furniture using kleurmeester fabric?
You can order loose cushion covers and removable sofa covers for any furniture with removable covers, for example IKEA chairs or sofas. We will use the existing covers as a pattern to create eye-catching new covers using kleurmeester fabric. Get in touch with us to discuss the options.

How should I wash and maintain the fabric?
The specially designed outdoor fabrics are colour fast, water resistant and have a special stain resistant finish. It is generally sufficient to use a soft brush, water and mild soap, but these it is also possible to machine wash at 30°c, drip dry and use a non-steam iron to reactivate the finish.

In order to keep coated tablecloths looking good, we recommend that these are wiped clean with a damp sponge after each use. Stubborn stains such as wine, coffee, tomato sauce etc should be cleaned off immediately, using a mild soap if necessary. Paint and ink stains are often indelible. So long as you follow the maintenance tips, frequent machine washing shouldn’t be required – twice per year is usually enough. Machine wash at 30°c, without using fabric softener. Avoid using a spin cycle or use a slow setting. Allow the fabric to drip dry, and iron the untreated side (not shiny) on the cotton setting to reactivate the finish.

To reduce shrinkage in our 100% cotton products, the first wash should be a cool wool programme with no detergent. Follow this wash with a regular wash at 30°c using a small amount of gentle detergent. Do not use the spin cycle, and remove from the washing machine as soon as the washing cycle has ended and drip dry. Do not tumble dry, iron using the cotton setting. Fabric may shrink by 10% lengthwise and 4% widthwise.

Subsequent washes can be done at 60°c.

We recommend curtains be professionally dry-cleaned.

How can I remove stubborn stains?
We advise tackling stains as soon as possible by removing as much of the stain as possible. Lay a damp cloth on the stain and leave it to dry. The cloth should absorb a significant amount of the stain. Repeat this process until the stain is no longer noticeable. If you use detergent, first do a spot test by applying a small amount of detergent to a less visible area to ensure it doesn’t damage the fabric.

Never rub or scrub stains as this may result in irreversible damage to the weave.

Can I return my product?
You are able to cancel your order within 14 days of receipt without needing to provide a reason. Please note: This is only applicable to products that have not been cut or made to measure. Due to the unique and personal nature of made to measure items that are made in accordance with customer specifications, we are unable to accept returns on these items.

After cancellation, you have another 14 days to return your product. You will receive a complete refund, including postage and handling. You will need to cover the costs of return postage which are generally €6.95 per package. See your postage provider for exact costs.

Please send the item you wish to return in it’s original condition and packaging to kleurmeester. Do not wash iron or otherwise treat the goods. If you wish to return an item, please let us know via email at info@kleurmeester.nl or by using the return formula. We will confirm receipt of the item, and will process refunds within 14 days.

I have a question / complaint, what should I do?
You can always call or email us, and we will answer questions as soon as possible. If you have a complaint, please contact us as soon as possible, we can always find a solution together.

If we are unable solve your problem, you can file complaints to stichting webwinkelkeur. As of 15 February 2016, it is also possible to file complaints via the ODR platform from the European Commission. This ODR platform can be found at http://ec.europa.eu/odr. In the event your problem has still not been resolved, you can also file a complaint through the European Union.
